River Parkway Bike Trail can be used as the start / end point.
Climbing:
El Dorado Hills Loop: 1,445 feet, none difficult.
El Dorado Hilly Hills Loop: 2,110 feet, more difficult
Difficulty: not excessive, but the 2,110' ride feels significantly more difficult than the 1,445' route
Risks: Inexperienced cyclists on the American River Parkway Bike Trail: particularly on weekends there can be significant numbers of young cyclists who are utterly ignorant of the "rules of the road" and who can act entirely unpredictably.
