38 MILES / 640 FEET
40 MILES / 815 FEET
American River Parkway Bike Trail, Rancho Cordova, Folsom South Canal, and (Eagles Nest), Sloughhouse, and Grant Line Roads.
Biking the Folsom South Canal is a pleasure: restful canal views, quiet (depressed below adjacent countryside), undisturbed (usually no other cyclists). Both rides follow the canal about seven miles; the 38 mile version adds an additional two miles.
Sloughhouse and Grant Line Roads afford relatively unobstructed views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Compared to the 38 mile option, the 40 mile ride adds
rural, quiet Eagles Nest Road
and includes the entirety of Sloughhouse Road.
